About

Hopeful or fearful, Kenyans are preparing for the elections that are set for March 2013. After the violence that took place after the 2007 elections, Kenyans are working to ensure that this election is more peaceful and brings Kenyans together around a shared dream of a peaceful, democratic Kenya for all Kenyans.

The Kenyan Peaceful Election Prevention project is an undertaking of hundreds of citizens from around Kenya to monitor the electoral process, share information about the electoral process,

The project is an initiative of the African Great Lakes Initiative of Friends Peace Teams, and works through the Friends (Quaker) church, and works with people of all faith and ethnic backgrounds. It is part of a broader collaborative effort supported by Quaker Peace & Social Witness (www.quaker.org.uk/kenya) and in coordination with Change Agents for Peace International, Friends Church Peace Teams, and Friends United Meeting.

To support this work, please consider donating to the African Great Lakes Initiative.  AGLI is a registered 501(c)(3) and so donations are tax deductable.

Please also share our work with others who might be interested! Thanks!
